Prof. Lydia Wambugu

Associate Professor University of Nairobi.

Prof. Lydiah Wambugu is an associate professor in the Department of Educational Management, Policy & Curriculum Studies, University of Nairobi, Kenya. Lydiah is thus a teacher, mentor, trainer and a consultant who holds a PhD in Education (Research and Evaluation), M.Ed (Curriculum Studies) and B.Ed (Science). She has expertise in Research Methods, Program Evaluation, Curriculum Development & Implementation and Data Analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics software. She has handled trainings and capacity building workshops for students within and outside Kenya.

Lydiah has co-authored two books – Research Methods: Theory and Practice and Contemporary Issues in Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation. With over a decade teaching in higher education, she has observed that in most times, students fail in examinations because of the way the content is delivered. She is therefore passionate about delivering content that is clear, precise, simple and packaged in conversational language to make learning fun and interesting. You will find her content quite engaging and user friendly.

Learning often happens in classrooms but it doesn’t have to. Our courses facilitate your learning experiences no matter the context using learner friendly content, demonstration videos and assignments to measure your learning.

No. We do not have a physical location where you can come and learn. Our courses are delivered online. Research Methods, IBM SPSS statistics and M&E are fully online courses where the student learns on their own while IBM SPSS Statistics live course, Dissertation & Academic Proposal Writing are delivered via ZOOM

We use on demand and face to face via ZOOM. The on demand courses are pre-recorded and uploaded on the website where you can learn any time anywhere in the comfort of your home. The face-to-face courses are lessons where we can interact on ZOOM and have actual conversations but at specific time agreed between the instructor and the learners. 

No, we do not. We offer classes to groups because learning is collaborative and interactive. Besides being students, we all learn from one another. The minimum number we register is 5 and the maximum is 100 at a particular time.

No we do not scholarships. We have free courses on You Tube and blogs where students can learn and expand their knowledge. In addition, the fee we charge on our courses are highly discounted

Yes there are assignments and in some revision questions for all courses

Yes the recordings on You tube are always available. However, the recordings for the live class via ZOOM will be unavailable once the subscription expires i.e. once the live class comes to an end.

Yes we do award certificates to the paid courses once the student completes the course and passes the assignments. However, for the free research methods course on YouTube, there is no certification
